This visa grants Permanent Residency to applicants who invest in Real Estate in Panamá for a minimum of US$500,000. At this moment and until October 2024, the minimum investment is US$300,000.
Main Requirement:
Provide evidence that the money to make the investment came from outside of Panama. This can be done as follows:
Letter issued by the bank abroad or a local bank, certifying the transfer or receipt, respectively, of the funds. If issued abroad, the letter must be legalized by a Panamanian diplomatic or consular mission in the Foreign Service or apostilled, in accordance with the Hague Apostille Convention.
Bank statement certificate issued by the foreign bank, duly legalized, or bank statement certificate issued by a local bank, with authentication stamps from the issuing bank, showing the transfer of funds transaction.
Notarized letter, issued by the recipient of the funds, or original bank certification confirming the deposit or receipt of the transfer, in accordance with any of the forms of investment described in this Executive Decree, which certifies that the funds for the investment were transferred from a foreign account.
Other Requirements
Police Records, either apostilled or authenticated, with a validity of 6 months.
Payment of USD $5,000 to the National Immigration Service.
Payment of USD $5,000 to the National Treasury.
In case of dependents over 12 years old: an additional payment of USD $1,000 per dependent to the National Treasury and another payment of USD $1,000 to the National Immigration Service.
In case of dependents under 12 years old: an additional payment of USD $1,000 per dependent to the National Treasury.
Certificate of good health.
One of the forms of evidence of the investment explained above.
If the application includes dependents:
Letter of responsibility for these dependents.
Proof of the relationship between the applicant and each dependent. Namely, marriage or birth certificates.
Benefits
It is the only visa in Panama that can be requested while being outside of Panama.
It grants Permanent Residency in estimated timeframe of 30 days from the day of the application.
