Changes in Friendly Country Visa
The Friendly Country visa (whose name is more extensive) is known in Panama given that it is one of the less complicated visa processes and grants the applicant a Permanent Residence.
It is rumored that there will be changes in the requirements for this visa, which seek to make it more difficult to obtain.
The most important changes that are rumored will be:
- The purchase of real estate property for the minimum price of US$ 200,000 (in cash or financed)
- If it is done through a partnership, it must have an investment of US$ 150,000 certified by AMPYME.
- The employment contract option is maintained.
We do not know what is the date on which these changes will be approved, but it is important to take them into account to be prepared.
